Graduation

I think for me, this was one of the happiest days in my life and it was to watch my sister walk onto the stage at the Auckland Town Hall - with all its pomp and ceremony, and receive her certificate in Secondary Education. For those of you who know my family, its been a long road for my sister - firstly completing her BA degree after about 15 years of last attending university, and then after her terrible Larium sickness - she prevailed and kept going - relying I think, soley on the Grace of the Lord to get her through. Then the very stressful year of being at college to finally get the degree she deserves.
I went with my brother in law, Vaughn, who also was brimming with pride! We shouted and hooted when she walked up onto the stage to receive her degree from the Chancellor of the University.
I thank the Lord for this precious gift of my sister and I told her the one day, walking into the Warehouse (a huge store "where everyone gets a bargain") that I am so glad that she is my sister, that I would not trade her for any other sister in whole world!!!!!! (I am glad she said the same about me in reply!!!)
So Naomi, this page is a tribute to you - for perseverance, hard work, enduring incredible stress, and keeping your eyes on the goal - you are my mentor and I love you!
I cant sign off this post without mentioning the support of a loving caring man - Vaughn, who has been such a tower of strenght to Naomi in these last couple of years. Love you both so much, and I thank the Lord daily that I can now be with you both!
